Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox attended her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She studied the harpsichord as well as the flautist piano for 3 years. Lennox made it through on a student's stipend working part-time in order to help supplement her income. Lennox was not content with her performance compared with other students at Royal Academy and began looking at other options. Lennox was a flute player in the band Dragons Playground in 1976. The group broke up shortly before their appearance on I.T.V's talent show New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 she was lead vocalist for The Tourists, a British Pop band. The band was where she got to know Dave Stewart and together they created the duo Eurythmics. Following that Lennox began to work for her debut album as a solo artist Diva that came out in 1992. The album was an enormous critical and commercial success. Nostalgia Lennoxs Six solo album, released in October 2014 is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs most loved soul jazz and blues songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera came out by Lennox on May 19, 2019. The collection comprised of four songs improvised. The E.P. The E.P. is her first independent album and a companion to her art work created at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let you Go... Annie Lennox (born December 25 1955) is an artist from Scotland. Scottish politician and singer. In the late 70s, she achieved minor fame as members in The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international notoriety in the 80s under the name Eurythmics. Lennox began her own solo career when she released her debut album Diva in the year 1992. The album was the inspiration of many hits songs such as"Why" and "Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. It has covers of such songs as"No MoreI I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her credits include the release of six studio albums on her own and one compilation.
