Maureen Denise McCormick was born on 5 August 1956 in Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard and Irene McCormick. Her father was an elementary school teacher, and her mother as a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin, her twin brothers. McCormick is always a fan of singing, dancing and creating show puppets. At the age of six, McCormick old, she won an award in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency called and asked if she'd be interested in entering show business. McCormick got her first big work in 1964, when she starred in a commercial on television for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon she was given the leading character on the play Wind It Up and It Breaks, a play at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, which was chosen out of 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the older of three two-headed daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. This show lasted for five years. In her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the show, she nearly lost her virginity due to her onscreen brother and co-star Barry Williams. In the moment, she was 16 and he was 19. It would have happened she stated, but the time wasn't right for us.
