Maureen Denise McCormick was born on 5 August 1956 in Woodland Hills California the youngest and only child of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. She was the home of her mother and also mother to her children. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her elder brothers. McCormick began performing and singing in the early years of her life. She was crowned her first contest, the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was contacted through Pat Domigan, a talent agent from the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to be a part of the business of show production. McCormick landed her first major work in 1964, as she acted in a commercial on television for Mattels newest doll Baby Pattaburp. In the same year, she starred in another commercial that aired on TV for the doll Chatty Cathy. After that, she was cast at La Jolla Playhouse to play the character of the character It up and It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick won an audition in 1969 from over 1,200 youngsters to be the youngest of three twin daughters in the TV series The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed together with Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons and the show was a great success. McCormick wrote in her book from 2008 Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice she almost losing her virginity in the fifth season of the show with Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen.
