Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter, and the sole son of Richard McCormick. Her father worked as a teacher while her mother was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her brothers older than her. McCormick began singing and dancing in her early years and would often perform puppet shows in front of children in her area. After winning her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 year old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see whether McCormick was interested in getting into the entertainment industry. McCormick was hired to star in her first major role in 1964 in a tv commercial for Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she was a guest on an additional company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was soon chosen to play The Brady Bunch La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick won an audition in 1969 from over 1200 kids to be the oldest of the three twins in The Brady Bunch TV show The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed with Robert Reed. The show lasted for five seasons. McCormick disclosed in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick nearly lost her Virginity with Barry Williams during the five-year run in the series. She was 16 years old at the time and he was just 19. The two of us could have been in a couple, she added. But the timing wasn't just right.
