Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and only of Richard McCormick. The mother of the child was home and was also a mom. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two older brothers. McCormick was a talented artist and singer from an early age. Her passion was to put on shows with puppets for her neighbors. Her fairytale rise to fame began when she took home her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 which led to an inquiry from the talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who inquired if she'd like to enter the show industry. McCormick got her first big task in 1964 when she appeared in a commercial on television for Mattels newest doll Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in 1964, for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon she was given the leading character on the play Wind It up and It is Broken, a show in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick won the 1969 audition of 1,200 youngsters to be the oldest of the three twins on the TV show The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed together with Robert Reed. The show lasted five seasons. McCormick's autobiography Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in 2008. In it she revealed that McCormick almost lost her virginity while on stage of the show during the fifth season when it was played by Barry Williams. She was just 16 at the time; he was 19. It was a time that would have not had worked out for us, she informed me.
