Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and sole child daughter of Richard McCormick. Her family consisted of an aunt who worked as an housewife, and her father who taught. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick has always loved performing, dancing and performing puppet shows. She was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was contacted by Pat Domigan, a talent agent of the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to be a part of the show business. McCormick's first job as a professional was in 1964, where she was featured in a TV commercial for Mattels new Baby Pattaburp doll. The following year she starred as Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for Wind It up and It's Broken at The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was in the company of over 1200 other kids who auditioned for the role of the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed, newlyweds who had the same family as a blended one. It lasted five years. In her autobiography Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season, she almost lost her virginity due to her onscreen brother and co-star Barry Williams. In the moment, she was 16, and he was 19. It would have happened she said but the timing wasn't the right time for us.
