Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and only daughter of Richard McCormick. Her father taught at school, while her mother was a homemaker. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick started dancing and singing at an early age and frequently performed puppet shows in front of the children from her neighborhood. The fairytale story of her rise to fame started when she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was six, which prompted being contacted by an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her whether she wanted to enter the show industry. McCormick landed her first major task in 1964 when she appeared in a commercial on television for Mattels latest doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she starred in another commercial for Mattels Chatty Cathy doll and was shortly cast in the musical Wind It up and It Breaks on stage at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked from a field of 1200 children who auditioned for the role of the oldest of three towheaded daughters on the brand new TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with the family of a blended couple. This show lasted for five seasons. In her autobiography Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice released in 2008, McCormick admitted that in the fifth season of the show, she was close to losing her virginity to her onscreen co-star and brother Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice that in season five of the show, she was close to losing her virginity to actor Barry Williams. It could have been, she says. The timing for our relationship was not the right one.
