Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's kids - was born at Woodland Hills in 1956. Her family consisted of her mother, who was a housewife and a father who was a teacher. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick has always loved performing, dancing and performing show puppets. She won in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 and was approached through Pat Domigan, a talent agent of the Jack Wormser Agency. He requested that she be interested to work in the show business. McCormick got her first big work in 1964, as she acted in a commercial on television for Mattels newest doll Baby Pattaburp. Later that year she did another commercial for the companys Chatty Cathy doll and was later cast in the show Wind It up until It Breaks in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was one of 1200 children for the part of the eldest towheaded daughter in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed who were newlyweds with an unmarried family. The series lasted 5 years. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick admitted that in the fifth season, she almost lost her virginity to her screen brother and co-star Barry Williams. He was 19. She was just 16. The incident would have happened according to her. However, the timing of our romance was not the right one.
