Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter, and the sole son one of Richard McCormick. Her father worked as a teacher while her mother was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her older brothers. McCormick was a talented entertainer and singer at the age of 6. She would show puppet shows to entertain her friends. At the age of six, McCormick young, she took home her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency approached her and asked if she'd like to go into the show business. McCormick was offered her first gig as a leading actress in the year 1964. She starred in a commercial for Mattels the newest doll baby Pattaburp. That same year, she starred in another television commercial for the doll Chatty Cathy. Soon afterward, McCormick was chosen by La Jolla Playhouse to play the character of the character Wind It up until It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children to play the eldest daughter to be a part of The Brady Bunch. The sitcom starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed newlyweds, who shared a blended-family. The show lasted for five years. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick told of how in the 5th season of the TV show, she was close to losing her the love of her life to her brother Barry Williams. The actress was only 16 when she was in the scene; he was 19. We would've had a romance, she said. The timing, however, wasn't the right time.
