Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5th 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. She was raised by a mother who was household worker and father who taught. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two brothers older. McCormick started dancing and singing in her early years and frequently performed puppet shows in front of children in her area. McCormick won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was approached by Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He requested that she be interested to work in the show business. McCormick was commissioned to perform in her first big part in 1964, in the tv spot for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. A year later she was a guest on the firm's Chatty Cathy Doll and was immediately cast in her role in the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp and ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was chosen from a field of 1500 children who had auditioned for the role of the oldest of three daughters towheaded on the brand new TV comedy The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with a blended family. The show lasted five seasons. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick told of how in the 5th season of the television show, she was close to losing her virginity with her sister Barry Williams. She was just 16 at the time while he was. This would have occurred according to her. But, the time for our marriage wasn't right.
