Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father worked as a school teacher and her mom was a stay at home mom. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick began performing and singing from a young age. At the age of six, McCormick old, she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency called and asked if she'd like to go into show business. McCormick's first big job was during 1964, which was when she appeared in a television commercial featuring Mattels baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she appeared as Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for the show Wind It Up and It's Breaks by The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, which was chosen out of 1200 auditioning children to play the older of three two-headed daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The five-year run of the show proved to be a huge success. McCormick, in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick revealed how during the 5th season of the TV show, she nearly lost her virginity with her brother Barry Williams. He was 19 years old. She was 16. It was likely that we would have a romantic couple, she added. But the timing wasn't right.
