Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5th, 1956 in Woodland Hills California. Her father taught school while her mother was a housewife. There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick is always a fan of singing, dancing and performing puppet shows. When she won her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see if McCormick wanted to get into the entertainment industry. McCormick got her first big work in 1964, as she acted in a TV commercial featuring Mattels latest doll, Baby Pattaburp. McCormick also starred in a commercial in 1964, for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was chosen to play the lead role in the play Wind It Up and It is Broken, a show at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the older of three two-headed daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show lasted five seasons. McCormick wrote in her 2008 book Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice she almost lost her virginity during the fifth season in the presence of Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen.
